Introduction

Pakref is a Pakistan-based e-commerce store offering a wide range of home appliances and home electronics items including air conditioners, refrigerators, LED TV, washing machines, water dispensers, microwave ovens, deep freezers, and home and kitchen items. The company offers highly competitive pricing for all products with fast and consistent shipping services across the country.

Problem Statement

Ecommerce is a rising industry in Pakistan with hundreds of new stores opening their services each year. While the market is nowhere near saturation, the massive influx of new stores makes the competition even tougher for new entrants. To add to the complexity, most of the e-commerce stores in Pakistan significantly lack when it comes to reliability. The poor and often fraudulent services offered by many e-commerce stores greatly deteriorate the customers’ trust; making them suspicious of online purchasing.

The primary challenge of the project was to create a fully customized and confidence-boosting digital marketing campaign that can differentiate the brand from hundreds of competitors in the market. It was important to create a differentiation strategy for the brand that can create a positive and trustable image for the brand and connects with the target audience.

Apart from devising a custom digital marketing strategy, the project also included the development of an interactive, intuitive and engaging e-commerce website that relates to the potential visitors and maximizes conversion rates for the business.

Once the client was onboarded, two dedicated teams were created to take care of various tasks included in the project. The first team was tasked with website design, development, graphic designing, and video editing; whereas, the other team was tasked to devise the digital marketing strategy for the business.

Task

We were contacted by the internal team of Pakref to undertake the complete online presence strategy for the business. The primary tasks included, the design and development of the website, graphic designing for products, video editing, and digital marketing strategy. The tasks were subdivided into two separate teams to ensure timely progress and completion. The first team was assigned for website design, development, graphic designing, and video editing; whereas, the second team was tasked to devise a completely customized digital marketing strategy.

Solution

To ensure timely progress and the success of the project, the two teams collaborated closely. This was important since SEO tactics had to be deployed during the website design and development phase to ensure successful marketing campaigns at a later stage.
