Introduction

Petmania.pk is one of its kind exclusive online stores for pet food. The store source a wide range of wet and dry pet foods from leading global manufacturers in the UK, USA, and other European countries. The core philosophy behind petmania was to bring in one-stop solutions to pet owners in Pakistan for all sorts of food varieties for their pets.

Problem Statement

Since there was no significant previous benchmarking for the pet food store in the country, the concept has to be rationalized from scratch. Also, the pet market in Pakistan is a relatively small market with customers fragmented into various segments. Thereby, the pressing challenge was to create an interactive website that connects with the fragmented market. Another critical challenge for the project was developing a comprehensive marketing and SEO strategy to reach this small yet fragmented market in the country.

Task

We joined the petmania project during the early phases and were involved primarily with the designing, development, and SEO parts. The core objective of our association with the company was to develop a lively and interactive website that induces confidence and devise a master SEO strategy to bring the fragmented market into one place.

Solution

For the initial phase, we devised a lively, interactive, and confidence-boosting website design that was carefully designed to connect with the pet owners. Since there weren’t many online stores for pet food, it was important to create a website that appeared legit and confidence-boosting for customers. We were able to create a functional website that ensured easy navigation for customers and had all the crucial design components to boost users’ confidence.

Next, we move on to developing a comprehensive SEO strategy. Looking at the market dynamics, we decided to go with a fully customized with our SEO strategy. Initially, a strong branding campaign was launched using organic and paid promotions. This was then coupled with traditional SEO techniques to raise customers’ awareness and bring in continuous traffic for the business.

Results

After the initial hiccups, we were able to get crack the nut for the company. The initial branding strategy proved detrimental in pulling the attention of pet owners from across the country. Within a few months of the SEO strategy implementation, we were able to bring in a large number of pet owners to the website with rather impressive conversion rates. We handover the website and marketing component to the owner one year later, after achieving all the promised milestones.
